Travelling on snow shoes adds one more way to enjoy our winters in the Rockies and Purcells. The snow shoes hiking trips have less elevation gain than the summer hikes and we never travel into avalanche terrain. During an average day, we will travel about 10 kilometres and gain less than 300 metres of elevation.

The snow shoe trips require a minimum of 8 hikers and all trips are fully catered with nutritious meals and snacks. This winter, we are visiting Panorama Mountain Resort where we have rented an large house with many comforts including a spacious living area.

On one day, we will travel 8 kilometres up a dirt road and follow a mellow trail, mostly downhill through the woods and untracked snow to the valley below. Our final day will offer 2 half day snow shoe hikes, allowing some folks to participate in one or both trails.
